It's a Media Buff Dream - No Doubt about it!!
I had different overhead projectors with a 108" screen for five years. When the price of this "Professional Installer's only" Pro8100 dropped in Sep. `09, I had to jump on it right away.

It's easy to mount the projector to the ceiling, but not exactly simple to upgrade the firmware. However, once you go over the initial phase of tweaking and adjustments, with useless customer support if I may say so, the results are stunning.

I'm using it with a 25 foot HDMI input cable and an HDMI switch (all from Amazon) at the video signal end to alternate between HDTV, BD player, and an X-Box 360. Each can give you a 1080p flawless signal with automatic switching between video sources.

Now, I really have a Media Room with all the capability and flexibility I ever needed. The problem that I have not solved yet is how to keep my kid's friends away from this local teenagers attraction!!

Great product for the money
This projector is a fantastic deal at the 1299 price point. It is more fully-featured than other projectors in this range, with horizontal and vertical lens shift, and is a tweaker's dream. Reviews for this product were positive at its original price of $5k, and at 1299, it is a steal. In a dark room, it looks like a huge plasma hanging on the wall.
