Eliminate clutter with the 20-inch Toshiba MD20F52 flat-screen CRT television with integrated, full-featured DVD player. It has a 4:3 aspect ratio screen for viewing standard TV broadcasts and full-screen DVD movies. It includes a 181-channel analog NTSC tuner that receives standard-definition programming. It includes three Picture Preference presets (standard, sports, movie) as well as a Memory Mode that allows you to customize your own settings and save them. The icon-based TV and DVD menu system offers simple operation by using picture symbols of key menu functions instead of plain text. Other features include an ergonomic, glow-key remote control, tri-lingual on-screen displays, and V-chip parental control.

The FST PURE flat screen picture tube delivers increased viewing angles along with the enhanced picture linearity necessary to produce accurate, life-like images. This feature eliminates unwanted reflections from room lighting, which is a common problem in conventional tube designs. It also improves sharpness and brightness. The digital comb filter eliminates detail noise in intricate scenes as well as reduces dot crawl and color bleed from broadcast sources.

The DVD player features compatibility with DVD-R, VCD, and CD-R/CD-RW discs. With the JPEG Viewer, you can easily display your favorite digital photos and create custom slideshows with a few simple clicks of the player's remote control. You can also play discs burned with MP3 and WMA digital audio files. The interactive Digital Picture Zoom feature allows you to select an area of the video from a DVD and magnify it. The Tray Lock feature allows a disc to be loaded into the tray and secured with an on-screen code. It's great for ensuring that a retail demonstration disc remains in the player, as well as to keep children from removing music and movie titles. Other DVD playback features include multi-angle viewing, multiple subtitle selection, slow motion, fast scan (2x, 4x, 8x, 20x), and parental lock.

This set has two stereo speakers that produce 2.5 watts of power per channel (5 watts total). The double baffle front-firing speaker design delivers improved stereo sound reproduction without connection additional speakers. The StableSound feature eliminates the annoyance of normal program volume being followed immediately by extremely loud commercial messages or drastic volume fluctuations while changing channels. Toshiba MD20F52
Okay, so I've only had this television for a few weeks now, but it really seems great so far. The picture is very superior to my much larger (39") tv, and it sounds great. I've stuck a number of DVDs in it, from various commercial sources, as well as some homemade ones, and they all play - in fact, I haven't found a format among any of my discs yet that it will not accomodate. The size is perfect for a second set, to go into a bedroom, for instance. It's a bit deeper than I imagined it would be, so that it completely fills the space I have for it, but it does fit nicely. I like that the set has jacks located both front and back - it's convenient, even though it adds to the busy look of the front. Buttons for power and DVD operation are on the set itself as well as the remote, which is a good size and pretty intuitive to use. One of the neat features that I didn't notice at first but have really enjoyed is the audio select button, which allows you to change the soundtrack on a dvd without going through the menu. With the included batteries, I was watching a movie within 5 minutes of opening the box. Setup was so easy, as is operation. The only complaint I have is that the buttons on the remote aren't glow-in-the-dark - that would really help out in a dark bedroom. Pretty minor complaint, overall, and I'd recommend this set to anyone.

I have had the TV for a couple of months and am impressed with all its features. It is one of the best tvs I have ever owned. Hard to believe how inexpensive it was. Highly recommend.
