Sylvania's 13-inch color TV makes a good choice for use in the kitchen or anywhere you want a compact TV. It features a black-tinted, bright matrix color screen and a full-function remote control. It's completely cable-ready, with a 181-channel direct-selection tuner and timesaving automatic channel setup.

The 6413TE's onscreen menu is available in English, Spanish, or French and can be controlled either via the 22-key remote control, which also gives you full control over the picture's brightness, contrast, color, and tint, or using the buttons on the front of the set. It can display Closed Captioning text and offers V-Chip based parental controls to keep kids from watching what they shouldn't. Other convenient features include last-channel recall, a sleep timer, resume power-on after a brief power interruption, and auto shutoff after 15 minutes if there is no signal received.

Being nitpicky... my apologies
This is a great all around small tv for the price. My only complaint will not matter to most people, it is a cheap, small tv after all.

It has Front Mono A/V inputs only. If you want to hook up a VCR or DVD player to this, you're gonna have wires hanging out of the front of the tv, and you're only going to get the left channel of the soundtrack. E.G. If someone is speaking only through the right speaker in a movie, or there's an explosion on the right only, you're not gonna hear it. If you want both channels of your movie, you can buy a y-splitter/combiner at radio shack for about $5. Many VCRs & DVD players have the old style coax cable, so you can hook this up in the back of the tv to get both channels of sound, but the picture quality is not as good... this is a fair work around. If you don't have the coax on your VCR/DVD, then you'll have to deal with the "half" sound.

I don't think it makes much sense to put the inputs only on the front. Front inputs are generally for temporary comnnections- showing pics from a digital carmera, hooking up a handheld video game system, etc. Usually there's a rear input for more permanent connections like a VCR or DVD player.

Evaluate your needs carefully before buying this TV
If you are planning to set this TV on the kitchen counter or put it in the infants bedroom, this little TV is probably just what the doctor or-dered, but if you need a compact unit that will let you connect that left-over DVD/VCR recorder, WITHOUT having a set of ugly cables hanging off of
the front, I recommend that you look at something else. I most STRONGLY suggest that you read the reviews by "Pigumon" and "LotteryMan43". They,
collectively, have identified the negative characteristics that make this
TV a "less than desireable" value.

Sylvania 6413TW 13" Color TV
We bought this to replace the TV that our sons use to play video games and to watch. It's wonderful. It has a remote, so, they don't have to constantly get up and down to change channels. And, we happen to feel that it was well worth the money we paid. Come on, where else can you get a 13" color TV for $75.00?
