Customer Reviews
works fine but very narrow field of view
Pay attention to the viewing angle, this one is very narrow and really only usefull for direct straight on viewing. I returned the item due to needing something with a larger viewing angle.
Haier HDTV-DVD Combo
We (TTI-Blakemore) purchase 20-22 TVs per year and this was a pretty good buy for the money. We let the first one we opened, run for 7 days and nights and it passed with flying colors.
The Haier LCD TV makes the best use of space I've seen. The front is nearly all screen.

Don't expect anything extraordinary
This television is so-so. Simply that. It serves its purpose as a basic TV. I'm surprised that it has gotten such positive reviews here. Haier brand is a lower end brand based in China, so don't expect their TV's to be top-of-the-line. They are of sufficient quality, but surely not of excellent quality.
This TV has a very limited viewing angle and can really only be viewed clearly head on. I went to go lie down in front of this television and couldn't clearly see the picture because of how limited the viewing angle was. When it comes to sound quality, this TV's is not as crisp and robust as I would have preferred. There's also a slight delay in changing channels and turning the TV on/off, which may be mildly annoying if you're impatient.
If you can deal with these issues, you'll probably be satisfied with this TV. Like I said, it's a TV which will serve a basic purpose, so if you plan on putting this in a bathroom or kitchen you'll probably be fine.
UPDATE: It's now April 1st and I've had the television for a little over two months now. Just wanted to update my review to say that the DVD player will not play DVDs anymore. After just two months. If you want a TV that can actually play DVDs, don't waste your money on this piece of junk!
